MUSANZE – Coordinators of the National Electoral Commission within sector units across the Northern Province have undergone training on the relevancy of upholding electoral regulations.

During the one – day training, participants at different training centres in Gakenke, Burera and Musanze districts - were briefed on the need to maintain accurate electoral data while ensuring that the voter register has names of all people who are eligible to vote at all electoral levels.

Nine members from all sectors in the province were invited for the training. These included Executive Secretaries, presidents of the advisory councils, leaders of the National Youth Councils (CNJ), and the National Women Council (CNF) members.

Others included electoral focal points, representative of private sector, officials in charge of civic education, and members of community policing committees.
