Editor,

Agriculture in Rwanda has still not reached its full potential despite the fact that we all claim to be farmers. People in Rwanda need to be further trained on the application of artificial fertilizers in their gardens.

I have seen many people, who are lucky to get the fertilizers, not applying them properly. They either put much or too little.

Our experts in agriculture must pull up their socks and teach our farmers the right way to use the fertilizers. It is only after this is done that we can expect high yields.
