Rayon Sports FC president Jean Fidele Uwayezu has hinted that they are bent on holding talks with French tactician Julien Mette in an attempt to extend his contract.
The Frenchman has left for his native country for holidays after his initial six-month deal expired at the end of the league campaign in May.
However, Uwayezu revealed they expect his to return in Kigali and hold negotiations over potentially signing new deal.
"We finished second in the 2023/24 season which is a vast improvement from the 3rd, 4th and 7th we had finished in previous years. It shows an improvement though we didn't win any trophy,” Uwayezu said in an interview with Rayon Time, a special TV show exclusively for Rayon Sports.

"Coach Mette is on holiday, we are waiting for him to return and we will hold talks with him for extension or not," he added.
Uwayezu further said that club assistant coach Mohammed Wade will be leaving the club after just one season.
"We wish him well in his future endeavors," he said.
