SUSPENDED: Ndjoli Bokungu.

APR’s DR Congo born striker Ndjoli Bokungu is set to miss the Rayon Sport after being ruled out of the game dubbed Rwanda’s El classico on disciplinary grounds by coach Feller Rene.

The punitive measure was taken by the Dutchman after a training ground bust-up after the flamboyant goal poacher labeled himself, untouchable a week ago.

Sources in the club have revealed to Time Sports, Bokungu’ antics of taking himself as a a superstar in the APR squad have not gone down with the coach who axed him last week ahead of the APR’s 2-0 win over Kibuye.

The Military side recorded victory thanks to goal from skipper Mbuyu Twite and Haruna Niyonzima to consolidate their top spot at the summit of the league table with 33 points from 14 league matches played so far.

With Bokungu out, APR will rely on the in-form Elias Uzamukunda, Fuadi Ndayisenga, Haruna Niyonzima and Bokota Labama to deny archrivals Rayon Sport any chance of recording any sot of win over APR in recent time.

Rayon Sport last won the league title in 2004 and they are hungrier than ever to force pressure on both APR and Atraco to win this year’s league title which would be their fifth title won since their promotion to the top flight in 1975.

Defending champions Atraco recorded their first victory after a disappointing exit from the African Champions league at the hands on Sudan El Merreikh to win 3-2 over Police.

The other league title favorites Rayon Sport won 1-0 for the third time in a row when Tanzanian striker Joseph Kaniki scored the winner on his return from a knee injury.

The Blues are third with 29 points, two behind Atraco. Feller has vowed to snatch maximum points at Rayon Sport when both sides crash in this weekend’s league match at Nyamirambo stadium.

"We have a balanced team which is very perfect and I think other clubs are afraid of facing us at this time,”  "We will be going for maximum points and the players are already in the mood for the weekend thriller,” Feller said.
