The concert, on December 6, will be Hillsong London’s first performance in Rwanda
UK-based worship team Hillsong London is in Kigali. The worship giant set foot in the country on December 4, ahead of tomorrow’s much-hyped ‘Hillsong London Live in Kigali’ concert at Kigali Arena in Remera.
They were received by a team from Rwanda Events, the organisers of the concert. Upon their arrival, the band members expressed their excitement of being in Kigali, with a promise for an electrifying performance.
According to the organisers, the team will visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, in Gisozi, to learn about the history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, before heading to Akagera National Park in Eastern Province.
The concert, on December 6, will be Hillsong London’s first performance in Rwanda. Popular gospel singer and guitarist Aime Uwimana will also perform at the concert.
The team is affiliated to Hillsong United worship band that originated as a part of Hillsong Church, based in Sydney Australia. It has over the years been committed to creating a musical expression in its uniqueness and writing songs that awaken churches and individuals into God’s calling.
Tickets to the concert go for Rwf10,000 (regular), Rwf20,000 (VIP wing), and Rwf50,000 (VIP seats closer to the stage).
