BUSOGO - Pastor Joshua Masasu of Restoration Church has challenged academics to change the future of this country and regain the lost pride which was tainted by divisionism along ethnic lines.

The cleric  was preaching during an inter-religious crusade organized by students at ISAE-Busogo.

‘The biggest challenge today is that people do not live according to their cultural identities, while those born again do not seem to follow Christ’s footsteps. Neither are those who pray genuine,’ Masasu said.

He said education should help those lucky enough to get formal higher education to broaden their minds and to learn from history that unity and reconciliation have a big stake in the development drive the country is undertaking.

Speaking after the crusade, the vice rector of ISAE-Busogo, Fred Mugisha said that the crusade was a special event set aside to dedicate the year’s academic activities into the hands of God.

He also intimated that it was held to remind the student community within the institution of their mission of cementing unity and reconciliation within society.
