Police football club have been rocked by the news that their dynamic midfielder Yves Twajamahoro could be out for the rest of the season with a broken arm.
The former Rayon Sports ace suffered a double fracture during Police 3-2 league defeat to the champions Atraco at the weekend.
The fracture was confirmed after radiological x-ray was carried out to trace the extent of the injury.
Atraco twice came from behind to snatch maximum points against a solid Police team but that win was marred by the midfielder’s injury.
Doctors have revealed that the battling midfielder will be out of competitive football for 2-3 months.
"I fell awkwardly when I was battling for the ball with an Atraco player. It was an intense match with a lot of physical strength involved,” the ex-Rwandan international told Times Sport after his first AID treatment at CHUK.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who joined Police this season from Rayon has played key role in Police’s improvement this season.
