Saturday IPRC-Ngoma 2-3 UTB Kirehe 0-3 Gisagara REG 3-0 APR

Rwanda Energy Group (REG) volleyball club downed APR in straight sets on Saturday to get off to a winning start in the 2019/2020 league season.

The defending champions took a hard-fought first set 26-24 before winning the next two 25-20 and 25-21, respectively, at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

In other games, hopefuls UTB beat IPRC-Ngoma in five sets (19-25, 17-25, 25-2, 25-22 and 15-9), while two-time champions Gisagara dominated Kirehe in three sets.

APR have not beaten REG in their last eight meetings in all competitions.
