Challengers Cricket will be looking to retain the Unimoni Premier League title when they face rivals Telugu Royals in a repeat of the 2018 final on Sunday.
The match will start at 9:30am, at Gahanga Cricket Stadium.
The two teams, the country’s finest, go into the title-deciding match with 12 points each, having both won three out of their first four games this season.
"We are well-prepared. We have been training hard for this game,” Srinath Vardhineni, Challengers’ player, told Saturday Sport, noting that, as the champions, they will fight with all they got to defend the title.
Challengers claimed the title last year after beating Telugu Royals by 18 runs in the final
"We can’t afford to lose the final (to Challengers) again. We are ready,” said Telugu Cricket’s Ramu Morampudi.
Besides awarding the champion team, there will also be recognised the best batsman, the best bowler, the best fielder and, the Player of the Year.
