IT will be a case of one team trying to stay in the top four while the other fights to leave the bottom half as fourth-placed Etincelles take on Marines at Umuganda Stadium on Saturday.

The game starts at 3pm.

Etincelles are well-aware of the challenge that lies ahead, and, according to head coach Innocent Senginga, they are ready to fight for the three points.

"We have to react quickly after drawing against Rayon Sports last weekend. This is a derby, and I am sure the boys know what is at stake. We are all ready to make amends against Marines,” said the former Police FC coach.

Should the hosts, Etincelles, win, they will go level, at 14 points, with leaders Mukura and second-placed APR, while a victory for Yves Rwasamanzi’s Marines will move them to 8th position, with 8 points, tally seventh-placed Sunrise.

"We have not had the best start to the new season, and obviously the most important thing when you are down is bouncing back, especially against rivals like Etincelles. We are very ready for the derby,” Rwasamanzi told Saturday Sport in a separate interview.

Since 2009, the Rubavu-based league rivals have met 18 times in the league, with Etincelles winning six games, while Marines won five. Seven of their encountered ended in draws.
