Online sports betting company BetPawa and Veterans Club World Championship have entered a three-year partnership deal which will run until 2027.
The partnership will see BetPawa being involved in all activities of the Veterans Club World Cup (VCWC) during the next three as both parties benefits immensely from each other.
After signing the deal on Friday, Ntoudi Mouyelo, the Chief Commercial Officer of BetPawa Group, said it was important to partner with VCWC as the company continues to extend its commitment to work with more people in the sports fraternity.
"This partnership is something very unique for us because one of the missions of BetPawa is to work closely with the sports industry in Africa," Mouyelo told Times Sport.
"For us, being part of the first-ever tournament with over 150 global football legends, was something that we couldn't miss. We are talking about an international event and looking at football on the continent, after AFCON this is the largest event the continent can dream of.”
BetPawa's headquarters are in Kigali and Mouyelo said it was important for them to liaise with VCWC who are bringing the football event to the Rwandan capital.
"BetPawa’s headquarters in Africa is in Kigali so it is prudent we attach our name to the Veteran Clubs World Championship," he said.

"The overall impression about the VCWC event is positive. It goes beyond football, this event is also about business, as forums will also be held aside. Key issues such as peace, education, tourism, innovation will be discussed. "
"Our brand is among the leading brands in Africa. Currently, we are covering 12 markets, we have millions of followers so to amplify the impact of VCWC is the best fit for partnership," he concluded.
VCWC founder Fred Siewe was confident that BetPawa can help them to achieve their objectives alongside a betting company with a solid brand.
"The partnership with BetPawa is key, they also educate the masses and the legends can be used for that through the company's platforms," Siewe said.
"In collaboration with BetPawa, we will be sending some of the legends to nearby countries such as Uganda and Tanzania in July for them to know that the competition is coming on."
The VCWC is a special football and business related event specifically designated to legends of the game who have hanged their boots. It will be held from September 1-10 in Kigali with the likes of Ronaldinho, George Weah, Michael Owen, Philip Lahm, Patrice Evra among big names set to headline the event.
