Manchester United and French national team legend Patrice Evra confirmed his participation in the inaugural Veterans Club World Championship (VCWC) set to take place in Kigali in September.

He shared the news on X, captioning his post, "Let’s meet in Rwanda for VCWC2024," accompanied by a heart emoji.

Evra joins an impressive lineup of high-profile former players including compatriot David Trezeguet, Brazilian icon Ronaldinho Gaucho, former AC Milan star-turned-politician George Weah, Samuel Eto'o, Michael Owen, Edmílson, Patrick Mboma, and Rwanda’s Jimmy Gatete, who confirmed their attendance in the event scheduled for September 1-10.

At least 150 football legends will converge in Kigali for the tournament.

The VCWC promises an exhilarating event featuring 20 games, with broadcasts expected to reach over 100 million viewers worldwide.
