Primus National League defending champions APR want to release nine players before signing others as they look to build a stronger team for the 2024/2025 campaign.
The military side wants to rebuild again in order to compete at a higher level. They hope to sign more than 12 players so that they go far in the CAF Champions League.
APR FC will release at least nine players and look for replacements, following a poor run of form in 2023-24 campaign.

Players likely to be released include Cameroonian Sanda Soulei who joined the team in January 2024, and signed a deal for six months, Danny Ndikumana from Burundi, who is likely to join Marines FC next year, and Ismaïl Pitchou Nshimirimana, also from Burundi, who had asked to be released.
Rwandan players likely to leave include defender Aime Placide Rwabuhihi, Prince Buregeya, Dieudonne Ndayizimiye, Taiba Mbonyumami, Yannick Bizimana, Alain Bacca Kwitonda and goalkeeper Pierre Ishimwe.

Police failed to sign Ani
Police FC failed to secure a deal for Bugesera FC striker Ani Elijah.

Ani who is wanted in the national team, Amavubi, is one of the players that Police FC needed in order to solve the problem of scoring goals.
The striker is one of the highlights of the last season where he scored 15 goals, same as Victor Mbaoma of APR FC.
It is reported that rivals Rayon Sports started talks to sign Ani but nothing conclusive has been done yet.
Police in race to sign Kirongozi from SC Kiyovu
Police have changed tact and are eyeing SC Kiyovu striker Richard Kirongozi to strengthen the team ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Junior Didier Mucyo set to join Al-Jazira
Rayon Sports full back Junior Didier Mucyo is in talks with United Emirates Arabs team Al-Jazira.
Mucyo, 25, whose contract with Rayon Sports ended, will go on trial with Al-Jazira in the United Arab Emirates.
Rayon wanted to extend his stay but no agreement was reached.
It is also reported that Police FC started negotiations with the right back in a bid to build a stronger squad.
Mucyo arrived at Rayon Sports in the summer of 2022 and helped them win Peace Cup 2022-2023 but in the following season, he failed to get playing time as faced tough competition from experienced right back Ali Serumogo.
