Get inspired: Battling with worry

“Worrying accomplishes absolutely nothing” We already set aims and goals for the New Year 2009. Now that the holidays are completely over, we’re back into the every day rhythm of our lives and right now, our minds start to wonder how we will go about our grades in school, job interviews, approaching deadlines and shrinking budgets. "Worrying accomplishes absolutely nothing”

We already set aims and goals for the New Year 2009. Now that the holidays are completely over, we’re back into the every day rhythm of our lives and right now, our minds start to wonder how we will go about our grades in school, job interviews, approaching deadlines and shrinking budgets. Before we know it, worry sets in.

Worry happens when the mind tries to resolve what is currently beyond its control. It can be re-examining decisions we have already made or concern over choices that are still in our future. Worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it gets you nowhere. Worry keeps lingering around our lives, even if we may never realize the great effect it has on us.

For all my lifetime, worrying accounts for hours and hours of invaluable time that I’ll never get back. So, I have decided that I’d like to spend my moments more wisely and more enjoyably. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have any time to waste these days, yet worrying is a waste of very precious time.

Remember worrying won’t help you solve a problem or bring about a solution, so why waste your time and energy on it?

Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

If you’re not convinced yet to give up your worrying, here are a few ways to turn off the worrying thoughts that are taking up your valuable mental energy: It’s a larger source of stress and much harder to eliminate from our bad habits. It is in your best interest to live a worry-free life

Designate a "no worries” day

The goal for you is to choose one day  per week that you don’t allow yourself to worry needlessly about your education, your finances, your marriage, your kids, your job or any thing else. How does it feel to have a day out of worries and stress?

Don’t you think it will affect the other days as long as you purpose. Start with one day to at least leave a free-worries time. Simply by giving yourself permission to have an entire 24 hour period each week of "No Worries” will free your mind, and relax your body.

Have a positive look at things in life

If you see ten troubles coming down the road, you can be sure that nine will run into the ditch before they reach you. Having hope and looking forward for greatness and aspirations will help you overcome worry.

Uncertainties and lack will always be unavoidable issues; it’s up to u to soar up wings like eagles over any situation and not letting them to tie you down. It’s true that you could have taken long to pay for the mortgage or to get a second job, but do you think you will change anything when you worry? I think your just worsening matters. Worry is a complete cycle of inefficient thought revolving about a pivot of fear.

Plan for each item causing you stress

Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night. It’s best if some one puts time to plan for every thing that causes them to worry.

For example; budget amount to put aside each paycheck to make monthly mortgage payment, decide what activities make you happy, then make plans to do them on your designated "No Worries” day.

Why don’t you try a few of these ways and I promise you, the results will be favorable and worry will stop feeding on you. I think I believe with Leo Buscaglia who said that worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.

I know it is typical to fret about unresolved problems in our lives, but when we are consumed with stress it is unhealthy. Try to enjoy your life!!!

Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it.  Mark Twain
