The Kigali Night Run as part of the ongoing Youth Connekt Africa summit is set to happen Thursday night and obviously cause a change in the traffic flow at a time when many people are leaving work heading back home.
The entire road from the Kigali Convention Centre – Kigali Heights, Ku Kabindi to the newly constructed Office of Prime Minister will be inaccessible to any form of vehicles or motorcycles.
This will be from exactly 6-9 pm which is the time the night run is supposed to take place.
According to a message on the Rwanda National Police’s twitter account, there will be traffic diversions at Gishushu, Rugando, Umubano Hotel, Ku Kabindi and Kimicanga and those that use the road from Remera and Nyabugogo are advised to use available alternative roads.
In a bid to ensure that the run is a success, without any accidents, traffic police officers will be deployed at all junctions to direct road users to alternative routes.
