The decision the UN boss Ban Ki Moon made of picking Ambassador Joseph Mutaboba, as his special envoy in Guinea Bissau was wise. He is a man with vast experience, not only as a diplomat but also as a peace-maker.

He has shown this in the troubled Great Lakes region, and there is no doubt the UN boss will find him instrumental in his new post.
