Former Rayon Sports striker Tidiane Koné has joined Gasogi United on a one-year deal, the club announced on Sunday.

The Mali-born frontman returns to Rwanda Premier League nearly two years after parting ways with Rayon to join Zambian top tier side NAPSA Stars.

Koné becomes the fourth import the topflight league’s newcomers have signed after Manase Mutatu Mbedi (DR Congo) Cameroonian Athassi Fabrice Merlin and Liberian Herron Scarla Berrian.

Guy Bukasa’s Gasogi, who played a 1-all draw with Bugesera in a friendly match over the weekend, will begin the new season against reigning champions Rayon Sports on Saturday.
