Patriots Vs Orion 8pm
High-flying Patriots basketball club will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run in the Rwanda Basketball League when they take on Orion BBC in their first second round game on Wednesday, May 22 at Lycée de Kigali gymnasium.
Orion lost 65-92 to Patriots in the first round the league and they will be looking to give their opponents a major upset not only to end their unbeaten run but to also keep their hopes of making it into the playoffs.

But coach Henry Mwinuka told Times Sport that his side "can’t afford to lose the game.”
"Orion is a strong team with good players, which will only make the game more intense, but I’ve told my players to take it easy, enjoy themselves and avoid unnecessary mistakes,”Mwinuka said.
Patriots will be without their star point guard Will Perry who is representing Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs which gets underway at BK Arena on Friday, May 24.

As it stands, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) are top of the league table with 19 points, one point clear of Patriots while APR are third with 17 points. Orion stand in seventh place.

After Wednesday’s game, the league will take a break and will return after the BAL playoffs conclude in Kigali on June 1.
