Transfer news: Muhire demands Rwf40m to stay at Rayon Sports

Rayon Sports captain Kevin Muhire has reportedly asked Rwf40m to extend his contract with the 'Blues' as club pushes to trigger his move outside the country.

Muhire who was named Rayon’s player of the season despite joining the club in October on a short term deal which expires on June 30.

The Rwanda international recently said that he is considering a move out of the club at the end of the season after missing out on qualification for Champions League and Confederation Cup football.

Times Sport understands that the club wants to offer Muhire a new contract but the player is only open to stay as long as the club meets his Rwf40m asking signing on fee and a monthly salary of Rwf2,500,000.

Meanwhile, Rayon Sports may lose and Elie Ganijuru and Junior Didier Mucyo with the latter linked with a move to Police FC.

Mugunga close to Saudi Arabia move

If talks go well, SC Kiyovu forward Yves Mugunga will join Saudi Arabia first tier side, Al Jubail on June 1, Times Sport has learnt.

Reliable sources indicate that the former APR FC striker could fly to Saudi Arabia as early as next month after his contract with the Mumena-based side expired at the end of the season.

Bugesera’s Hoziana set for pro move

Bugesera and Amavubi U23 forward Kennedy Hoziana will fly to Moldova on June 8 for two-week professional trials at topflight side FC Zimbru in Moldovan.

The youngster could potentially sign for the club as long as he passed the trials.

Gorilla FC release five players

Gorilla FC have released five players who were deemed surplus to requirements, according to the club management.

The players shown exit door include goalkeeper Omar Rwabugiri, Yves Mugisha, Baba Tunde Iroko and Arnold Matumele and Johnson Adeaga.

Sources say that Belgian Ivan Minnaert has put talks over extending his stay as club coach on hold until the club agrees to buy new players that fit in philosophy and style of play.

Police release goalie Kwizera

Janvier Kwizera has been released by Peace Cup Winners Police FC, bringing his four-year spell at the club to an end.

Kwizera has struggled for playing time since the arrival of Burundian shot stopper Onesime Rukundo who is the current club number one between the spots.
