Pulling off a bold but fantastic appearance doesn’t come effortlessly, so one must be careful. There is the process of choosing what item of clothing pairs well with certain shoes, and of course, accessories.

Many women are passionate about jewellery as it epitomises femininity.

When it comes to turning a simple look into a rich and bold appearance, jewellery is the way to do that. Accessorising has rules that shouldn’t be overlooked. You do not want to be that person who reports to work with jewellery fit for a party.

It is important to know what kind of necklace or earrings are appropriate for specific occasions. When jewellery becomes too much, it loses its beauty and creates a busy or odd look.

This is how you can complement your look with jewellery;

GOING BOLD

If your work place isn’t too strict on dress code, you can decide to go bold with jewellery, that is to say; you can select a simple dress and match it up with a bold necklace. However, it should be as decent as possible. Bold necklaces amplify your personal style. They send a message of self-assured confidence.

BRIGHTENING UP

Choose to enhance your looks, how about blending your jewellery at your work place? You can, for instance, try costume jewellery that is bright and fun. Or go a bit unique by choosing a thumb ring instead of typical finger rings and still turn out professional.

WEARING LESS JEWELLERY

To those that don’t want to be the centre of attention, wearing dangling earrings, a bangle, watch, a necklace and rings at the same time would be way too much for just work. However, you can choose one of them and match it with your outfit. You can instead do stud earrings and a ring. If you do not feel comfortable with either of the two, then replace the two with a bracelet.  If it is work, you ought to keep that work look.

MIXING SIMPLICITY AND CLASS

Simple is nice and facile, complete your outfit with simple jewellery. This will work for you if you work in a conformist office. You can also go for a birthstone, coloured stone or some plain but classic pearls. These look rich and simple for everyone.

THE ‘WOW’ LOOK

Each person is different in their own way, if you can add bold, colourful earrings, chunky necklaces, and dangly earrings and still look good, do your thing. What matters is your comfort and general style.

TAKE NOTE: Before you spend your money on jewellery, shun from anything that looks cheap. A lot of cheap jewellery is made with inexpensive alloys, or even plastic that’s just painted and coated to look like metal. Polished gold, silver, and bronze are shiny, but not that shiny. Choose slightly darker metals over really light-coloured, bright metals. A little richness and a slightly darker tone add weight to a piece, which makes it look more expensive.
