Our local farmers in Rwanda have a general belief that keeping cows on their farms is the only way, to improve their standards of living.

Though this is a good idea, it is not, one size that fits all- not all can afford meaningful cattle keeping. Exotic sows can be very expensive for a poor peasant. It is therefore, advised to go for small farming like poultry.

This gives an opportunity, to invest little money and yet earn enough profits at the end of the day.

I therefore advise poor peasants to go for small farming, instead of wasting time doing what they can never manage in the long- run.
