The Basketball Africa League (BAL) season 4 playoffs and finals are less than a week away from tipoff at BK Arena in Kigali.
The finals usually attract top celebrities from both the sports and music community globally with special performances to spice up the halftime show atmosphere.
And this time around, BAL 4 playoffs will feature performances by local and international acts, including the likes of Nigeria’s Adekunle Gold and Rwanda’s very own The Ben, Chris Eazy, Ish Kevin, Kevin Kade, Ariel Wayz, Kivumbi King, Bwiza, Ishami Talent, Inganzi Ngari cultural troupe and Kenny Sol.
The selected artistes will perform during the half time shows of the finals.
According to the performance schedule issued by BAL on Friday, May 17, Inganzo Ngari will headline the opening ceremony of the playoffs on May 24, while Juno Kizigenza and Adekunle Gold will perform during the half time show of the opening game which will see Libya’s Al Ahly Ly and South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers rub shoulders followed by defending champion Al Ahly (Egypt) taking on FUS Rabat (Morocco).
Meanwhile, The Ben and Ishami Talent will entertain basketball enthusiasts during the grand finale slated for June 1.
Entertainment will also be extended at the BAL fan zones out of BK Arena with some music jams from Kigali’s top DJs.
BAL finals return to Kigali after the conference games closed with the Sahara Conference which recently concluded in Dakar, Senegal, leaving three out of four teams securing tickets to the playoffs and finals that will unfold in Kigali from May 24 - June 1.
For the first time, the playoffs will be held without a representative from Rwanda despite them hosting for a fourth successive year. APR failed to qualify for the playoffs after finished at the bottom of the Sahara Conference group phase.
