Former Amavubi goalkeeper Jean Claude Ndoli has described his two-year spell with SC Kiyovu as ‘hectic time’ following his recent move to Musanze.

Ndoli completed a two-year move to Rwanda Premier League side Musanze in July after helping the Green Baggies to reach the Peace Cup final where they lost 2-1 to AS Kigali.

The 32-year old had joined Kiyovu in August 2017 from AS Kigali.

In an exclusive interview with Times Sport on Monday, the former APR keeper said, "After two hectic years with SC Kiyovu, I thought it was best for me to go elsewhere. The club still needed me but I turned down their offers.”

"The working conditions [at Kiyovu] are not motivating. Players can go up to four months without pay and the management act as if everything is alright. Enough was enough.”

Regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers the country has ever produced, Ndoli won eight league titles with local heavyweights APR between 2006 and 2016, before being released at the end of the 2015/2016 season along with eight other players.

However, Ndoli also confessed that besides financial woes at SC Kiyovu, he was also not happy with limited playing time as he was largely used as a second goalkeeper to youngster Djihad Nzeyurwanda.

Apart from Ndoli, Musanze have also signed former Sunrise FC skipper Ali Musa Sova and Emmanuel Uwimana, also from Sunrise, and Burundian Charles Niyongabo as their new head coach.

Musanze, who finished in 10th position last season, have said they will be targeting to break into top six in the forthcoming 2019/2020 campaign, which gets underway on October 4.
