Jobert Medard Ngabo, popularly known as Meddy, has become the first Rwandan musician to hit 100 million views on YouTube with a single song, thanks to his mega-hit ‘Slowly’.

Released in August 2017, ‘Slowly’ also became the third non-collaborative song by an East African artiste to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, following Zuchu’s ‘Sukari’ and Fally Ipupa’s ‘Eloko Oyo’.

Even though Meddy has embarked on a new journey in worship and praise music, he continues to break new ground in East Africa and Rwanda.

His single ‘My Vow’ holds the record as the only Rwandan song to reach one million views on YouTube in just one day.

Since transitioning from secular music to gospel, Meddy has released two songs: ‘Grateful’ and ‘Niyo Ndirimbo’, featuring Adrien Musigaro.
