MUHANGA – Couples in Gitarama and Ruhango towns celebrated Valentines Day in style with many lovers wining various prizes in a promotion organised by Rwandatel S.A.
The prizes ranged from mobile phones, SIM cards, pink colored T-shirts, caps, wallpapers, and phone holders among others.
Innocent Ndoli, a Rwandatel Customer Care official revealed that they sold over 1000 mobile phone handsets and 2000 SIM cards.
This year’s Valentines Day celebrations was quite different from that experienced last year due in part to the Rwandatel promotion.Residents in both Muhanga and Ruhango district said this was the biggest promotion ever.
"This is the biggest promotion ever. Everyone is in a jolly mood and most people have grabbed something from the offers,” said one Samuel Niyigene.
Antione Uwimana, a Rwandatel official in Muhanga also stated that their services have been boosted with new technology and installation of more antennas to meet the customers’ demands.
