Mico the Best fans have some happy news to celebrate. The Afro beat singer tells The New Times he has signed a professional music contract this week with KIKAC music, and hopes it will help him amplify his career.

According to the singer, the label will be in charge of producing and promoting his music, as well as booking concerts and other gigs for him.

Speaking toThe New Times about the partnership, the singer said: "I have signed a record deal with an amazing music label, and I look forward to a long and successful working relationship,” the 30-year-old singer and songwriter,” told The New Times on Wednesday.

"I’m excited about this new partnership...it’s going to be a lot of fun working with them,” he added.

Last week, the Afro beat singer, born Prosper Mico, released his latest track after joining KIKAC music, dubbed ‘Twembi’, as he plans a major comeback.

‘Twembi’, which already has 41,496 views over the past week, is an afro-fusion track, produced by Made Beats (audio), and Bernard Bagenzi (video). The singer said the lyrics to the song were inspired by a true love story, about a girl who finds herself trapped into a relationship with two men, but can’t choose one, because of the financial benefits.

"The difference is obvious. With the management, an artiste can easily achieve many things, than when you’re doing everything by yourself,” said Mico the Best.

The singer signed to KIKAC Music after he found himself in a flopping situation without management just days after the Super Level, and his old management closed doors in 2017.

The label has in the past worked with renowned local artistes, like Ama G the Black, Bruce Melodie and Urban Boys.

Mico the Best is now working on his third album that will mark four years since he launched his second album- ‘Kule’ in 2016. He has promised cool tracks with a concept that will be worth the wait.
