Kenyan giants Gor Mahia have reportedly launched an ambitious bid to sign striker Jules Ulimwengu from Rayon Sports after the ongoing Cecafa Kagame Cup.
Despite the Burundian remaining with 18 months of his contract with Blues, Gor Mahia regard him as a suitable replacement for Jacques Tuyisenge who departed the club for a lucrative move to Angolan side Petro Atletico.
Ulimwengu, 19, has shot to prominence as the finest striker in local football since his Rwf8 million move to Rayon Sports in January.
According to Sunday Sport sources, Rayon will not release the talisman unless his $150,000 buyout clause is met.
Ulimwengu scored 12 goals as he inspired Rayon to their ninth Azam Rwanda Premier League in May, which also booked them a spot to the CAF Champions League next season.
