Following the bloody atrocities that claimed the lives of many men in Musambira sector, Kamonyi district, on May 14, the genocidaires returned the following day to murder children who had been spared in the earlier attack.

In a horrifying incident, the killers used Hutu children to murder their Tutsi peers.

Led by adult genocidaires, the young children, armed with machetes and clubs, attacked the Musambira health centre where frightened Tutsi women and their children had continued to stay after the death of their husbands.

Using such traditional weapons, many children were killed by other children with the support of adult killers.

On the same day, Radio France Internationale (RFI), through its journalist in Rwanda, Jean Hélène, continued to broadcast misinformation supporting the government.

RFI hosted Interahamwe leader Robert Kajuga, who denied all the killings orchestrated by the Kambanda government, its forces, and the Interahamwe/Impuzamugambi.

He claimed that only Inkotanyi and their accomplices were being targeted, not civilians.
