Sunday Police Vs Kiyovu 3pm (Aggr. 0-2)

Coach Alain Kirasa has vowed to bring back the glory that SC Kiyovu have lost over many years by inspiring the club to this year’s Peace Cup title and a spot to the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

The Green Baggies hold a 2-0 advantage over Police as the two Azam Rwanda Premier League archrivals face-off in their semi-final return leg at Kigali Stadium on Sunday. Kick-off 3pm.

Should Kiyovu see off Police and go on to lift the title on July 4, it will be their first major title in 26 years – the last being the 1993 league title.

"Kiyovu is a big team that needs and deserves to win titles, not just participating. I hope I bring that glory back to the club,” Kirasa told Sunday Sport on Saturday.

"We won’t let the first-leg result fool us. We will go into the game fighting to win, and my players are fit for the challenge.”

Whichever side – between Kiyovu and Police – progress to the final, they will meet AS Kigali who edged out Rayon Sports on Saturday.

Kirasa further noted: "We are not thinking much about the final. We are focused on the task at hand right now.”

Vincent Habamahoro and Armel Ghislain were the scorers, both in the second-half, as Kiyovu took a giant step towards the final on Wednesday.
