HAVING already wrapped up the Rutsindura Volleyball Memorial Tournament, Rwanda Energy Group have now turned attention to the Genocide memorial tournament, due June 28-30, at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

On Sunday, REG won Rutsindura Memorial Tournament for a third consecutive time. They took charge from the start to end.

The holders took the first set 25-21 before also winning the second and third 25-23 and 25-23, respectively.

In the women category, Rwanda Revenue Authority were crowned winners after overpowering UTB in four sets; 23-25, 25-15, 25-22 and 25-19.

According to REG head coach, Benon Mugisha Barayavuga, the team now turn their focus to the upcoming GMT contest. 

"We are looking forward to another successful campaign,” he said, adding that REG will resume training on Saturday.
