Relegation battling La Jeunesse head coach Yves Rwasamanzi has applauded his youthful side for their team work and effort exhibited in a deserved league 2-0 win over Kibuye Thursday at Nyamirambo stadium.

Kibuye’s Pappy Nkunda and Pappy Makara squared several clear chances before towering striker Robert Muvunyi scored a brace to hand the home side a 2-0 win.

After the win, only the second for the season, Rwasamanzi is optimistic that Jeunesse will survive the drop considering the tight nature of the league especially at the bottom.

"If we they maintain the same fighting spirit in the remaining matches, then we’d have high chances of escaping relegation. The win moved La Jeunesse one place from bottom to 10th with ten points in 13 matches, one ahead of Marines and Kiyovu.
