Renowned gospel musician Prosper Nkomezi touched the hearts and souls of worshipers with a remarkable double-album release concert, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to attend.
Nkomezi named the concert after &039;Nzakingura,' one of the two albums, ‘Nyigisha' (Teach Me) and 'Nzakingura' (I Will Open), that he launched before thousands of believers who filled Kigali Conference and Exhibition Center (KCEV) to full capacity on Sunday, May 12.
It Nkomezi’s first major performance since 2019.
Throughout the evening filled with a divine inspiration and sermon, the concert attracted huge turn up, a sign of celebration of faith and music equally.
The 'Nzayivuga' singer collaborated with other artists like Serge Rugamba, Gaby Kamanzi, Bosco Nshuti, and US-based Adrien Misigaro, who made a surprise performance considering that he was not on the lineup.

At 8 pm, worship singer Bosco Nshuti started with his popular songs 'Yanyuzeho' and 'Ni Muri Yesu', sparking a spirit of worship inside the venue before paving the way for other performers.
Despite his brief time on stage, Nshuti, known for his involvement in worship teams since childhood, left his fans satisfied and eager for more.
During a sermon, Johnson Karamuzi, a member of New Life Bible Church and director of African College of Theology, emphasized on the importance of not relying on earthly achievements without Jesus Christ.
He referenced Philippians Chapter 3, which warns against putting confidence in worldly accomplishments. Quoting verses 3-8, the preacher highlighted apostle Paul's refrain of his former pride in accomplishments in favor of knowing Christ.
"But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ," the verses partly read.

Later on, man of the concert showed up on stage starting with the performance of ‘Ndaje,’ featuring Gentil Misigaro. This song marked the start of a series of performances from both albums, &039;Nzakingura' and 'Nyigisha'.
Among the songs performed were 'Sinzahwema,' 'Urarinzwe,' 'Nzayivuga,' 'Nshoboza,' 'Urihariye,' 'Singitinya,' 'Nzakingura,' 'Wanyujuje,' 'Ibasha Gukora,' and many others. However, there were still numerous songs from his two albums that remained unperformed.
On the other hand, singer and worshiper Adrien Misigaro surprised the audience. Despite not being initially listed among the performers for the show, much to the excitement of cheering revelers.
It wasn't until Prosper Nkomezi took to the dance floor that he performed his song 'Nzagerayo’.
This particular song was sung by Nkomezi before Misigaro joined him on stage, and they followed it up by singing together the recent hit 'Niyo Ndirimbo,’ which is a collaboration with Meddy.
After the pair’s joint performance, Misigaro gracefully left stage, as Nkomezi continued with a solo performance which sparked a lively atmosphere among the audience.
For Nkomezi, the concert was all a thanksgiving to God, and he felt it met his expectations from the very beginning until it closed at 11.30pm.
The ‘Ndaje’ singer affirmed that the gospel music scene is experiencing its golden age, attributing its success to both individual efforts and divine timing.
