A number of Rwandan players abroad put up some impressive performances over the weekend as the 2023/24 season draws to a close.

Ange Mutsinzi, Arthur Gitego and Quentin Rushenguziminega were on target whereas Warren Kamanzi continued his fine form in his side’s French Ligue 1 win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

Sweden

Rafael York played 76 minutes for Gefle IF who beat Skovde 2-0 at Gavlevallen Stadium on Sunday, May 12 in the Swedish Superettan League.

In the same division, Yannick Mukunzi was an unused substitute but Lague Byiringiro replaced Calvin Kabuye in the 69th minute as Sandviken IF held Helsingborg to a 2-2 draw.

Elsewhere, in the Ettan Norra League, Torre Rafael played 61 minutes before making way for Ibrahim Habib as his club Orebro Syrianska beat Assyriska 2-1.

Norway

Right back Claus Niyukuri was brought on to replace Hlynur Karlsson as his club FK Haugesund drew 2-2 with HamKam in the Norwegian Eliteserien.

At the Jotun Arena, Beltran Nishimwe Mvuka was an unused substitute for Sandefjord who walloped Sarpsborg 4-1 on Sunday, May 12.

Emmanuel Baru Gisa was once again not in the Fram Larvik squad which drew 2-2 with Sola but goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Ull/Kiss who lost 2-1 to Follo in Match Day Six of the Norwegian third tier league on Saturday, May 11.

Stalwart defender Ange Mutsinzi scored in the 90th minute for FK Jerv but it couldn't prevent them from losing the tie 3-2 to Eik Tonsberg in the Norwegian third tier.

Netherlands

Noam Emeran was an unused substitute as Groningen beat Roda JC Kerkrade 2-0 to snatch a ticket back to the Dutch Eredivisie after one season in the second tier league known as Eerste Divisie.

Hakim Sahabo was not in action as Standard Liege playoff game with Westerlo was postponed.

Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Samuel Gueulette played full throttle for 2023/24 1ste National League champions Raal La Louviere who pipped URSL Vise 1-0.

France

Warren Kamanzi came from the bench in the 65th minute to replace Mikkel Desler and set up the third goal for Toulouse in the 95th minute as they thrashed Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the Parc des Princes.

It wasn’t the result the star forward Kylian Mbappe wished on the special of a sendoff for the France captain who announced his departure from the club after seven seasons.

Switzerland

Joel Mugisha Mvuka replaced Gambian forward Ebrima Colley in the 63rd minute as league leaders Young Boys SC lost 1-0 to Lugano.

Skipper Quentin Rushenguziminega scored his 19th goal of the season and saw fulltime action for FC Echallens who played out a 3-3 thrilling draw with La Chaux-de-Fonds in the Swiss Liga Classic.

Ukraine

Amavubi captain Djihad Bizimana will feature for FC Kryvbas when they face Polissya on Monday, May 13. The game was suspended at half time when Polissa were leading 1-0.

In the Ukrainian second tier, winger George Lewis Ishimwe was introduced into the game in the 76th minute as his club PFC Zvyahel bear Rukh Vynnyjy 2-1.

Macedonia

Centre back Abdul Rwatubyaye played 90 minutes for FC Shkupi who drew goalless with Brera Strumica on Sunday.

Latvia

Centre back Dylan Georges Maes was a full timer for FS Jelgava who lost 3-0 to Metta.

South Africa

Fiacre Ntwari pulled a series of great saves for TS Galaxy on Sunday, May 12 as they drew 1-1 with Cape Town City at the DHL Stadium in the South Africa DSTV Premier League Galaxy are fifth on the table with 40 points.

Morocco

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe is expected to feature on Wednesday, May 15, when league leaders AS FAR visit Olympique Dcheira.

Kenya

Arthur Gitego has been is in rich vein of form since his joined AFC Leopard in February.

The Rwanda international scored the second goal as his side defeated Talanta FC 3-0 in the Kenyan Premier League.

Tunisia

Holding midfielder Bonheur Mugisha put up another remarkable performance and played 90 minutes as AS Marsa beat ES Metlaoui 1-0 in the Tunisian Ligue 1.

Tanzania

Veteran striker Meddie Kagere may get some minutes on Monday, May 13 when Namungo FC face Dodoma Jiji.
