BRALIRWA appoints new boss

BRALIRWA the nation’s only brewery company has announced a new boss. The company’s board has appointed Sven-Erik Piederiet as the new Managing Director, succeeding Door Plantenga.

BRALIRWA the nation’s only brewery company has announced a new boss. The company’s board has appointed Sven-Erik Piederiet as the new Managing Director, succeeding Door Plantenga.

A 35 years old Dutch citizen, Piederiet has been acting as an interim Managing Director. He knows the company since he joined BRALIRWA in 2007 as the Financial Director.

Piederiet is a graduate in Business Administration and holds a Master’s degree and a post-graduate qualification in Finance and Economics. He is married and has three children.

BRALIRWA manufactures soft drinks and beer products, Mutzig, Primus, Guinness and Amstel.

It has also won awards for creating backward and forward linkages, employing about 35,000 people, among which 1,000 are directly employed.

Heineken group owns 70% of Bralirwa.

Piederiet, worked for 3 years at Heineken Egypt as Corporate Finance Manager. Besides the African experience, he previously had postings in Panama, Netherlands and Paraguay.
