Mukura players decry unpaid salaries

MUKURA Victory Sports have gone four months without paying players, Saturday Sport has learnt.

The Huye-based side host Marines Saturday afternoon.

Players, who preferred anonymity because they’re not supposed discuss the issue in the media, said they have for long been claiming for the unpaid salaries for the last four months but in vain.

This publication repeatedly tried to reach the club’s spokesperson Abraham Nayandi for a comment but his known telephone line was off.

It is alleged that the administration is aware of the unpaid arrears and the players have been promised to be paid by end of the month.

According to sources, some players wanted to boycott Friday’s training session but failed to convince their teammates to agree to the plan.

Ahead of their clash against army side Marines, the black-and-yellow outfit are third with 52 points, a whopping 14 points behind leaders Rayon Sports.
