Knowless Butera, born Jeanne d’Arc Ingabire Butera, has finally released a video of her latest single, titled- Day to Day.

The song talks about a lady trying to get into another relationship after being hurt in her previous one, and asks the new lover to not be surprised if he notices that he is not being loved the way he expects.

The two-minutes and 56 seconds long video was shot in Mombasa, by Pose Films, a Kenyan based production company, from May 6-10.

Speaking about her new single, Knowless told The New Times the track is emotional, but it is not from her experience, as many people have been speculating.

"The song is very emotional though it is not my story, but I must admit that it touches me,’’ the soft-spoken singer said in an interview on Tuesday.

Born on October 2, 1990, in Ruhango District, Knowless is the only child of her now deceased parents, and one can say the music spirit runs in her family, as her mother was a lead singer in a local Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Knowless attended ESCAF Primary School in Nyamirambo, after which she joined APARUDE and APACE Secondary Schools in Ruhango and Kigali respectively, before joining School of Finance and Banking (SFB) for university.

She has enjoyed success working with different regional artistes, like Tanzanian singer and songwriter Benard Michael Paul Mnyang’anga, aka Ben Pol, Ugandan dancehall artist Vampino, as well as local artistes Danny, Paccy, Ciney, Jay Polly and US-based Rwandan singer Kamichi, among others.

The mother of one also has a number of awards under her belt. In 2015, she won the 5th edition of Primus Guma-Guma Super Star title, Best New Artiste in Salax Awards in 2010, and Best Female Artiste in Salax Awards in 2013.

The singer has so far released four albums, and is currently working on the fifth one, that is set to be released this year.

"I would like to inform my fans that I don’t intend to hold any concert this year, because I’m so busy with my new album and I want to give them the best they deserve,’’ she said.

Knowless added that she is releasing a new track next month and its video, with more songs to be out before the end of the year.
