The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has named Libya as the hosts of the next edition of the 17th U-20 continental youth championship due in 2011.

Libya which had shown interest to host the next biennial event was approved by the Caf general assembly.

Caf approved Libya to organise the U-20 championship pending the submission of governmental guaranty to the continental football body before the end of February.

Libya which failed to reach the finals of the 2009 African Youth Championship will have a big task of preparing her squad as well as working on its sports infrastructure.
