Editor,

About three weeks back I got so disturbed when I read an article in foreign news about the Hilton heiress well known as Paris Hilton, who for one reason or another cancelled her visit to Rwanda for strange reasons, one of which is that Rwanda is not a safe place.

Well, we are sick and tired of having many people out there, relate to our country as an "un safe” place.

The 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi is long gone despite the fact that the deep memories of our loved ones will always stay alive.

In fact, while we mourn and remember the events of that tragic time, our government has quickly introduced strategies that have so far branded our nation as the fastest growing country. It is in this regard therefore, that I call upon everyone all over the world to come and visit our safe haven.

Rwanda is by far, one of the most peaceful countries right now, with the most hospitable inhabitants. I also laud our country for the tremendous efforts that they put to ensure that our re-building strategies are successful.
