On the 20th of January 2009, I got so surprised by the events that took place in my neighborhood. A mother of six decided to abandon and throw out her own children and husband that she legally married simply because she and the husband had terrible misunderstandings.
Are children supposed to be victims of their parents’ unreasonable decisions?
Back in our days I was taught that, a mother would spare all she has for her home, marriage, and most especially her children. Things are taking a different twist as many women like this one begin to behave in an unshameful way.
As we all watched in disbelief, this mother of six narrated to whoever cared, that the house and its belongings were bought with her money and so it was her right to lock and leave the children and their father by the road side.
As the innocent kids cried and begged her to re-consider this decision, onlookers were left in tears and my request is that parents learn to protect their families.
Children should be safeguarded from the pain and shameless acts of their parents.
