Sandviken were 3-1 up before half time but they had a major scare in the second half as SAIK fought back. The home side reduced the deficit and piled incessant pressure on the visitors but they held their might as the game ended 3-2. Fellow countryman Lague Byiringiro also played full throttle
Sandviken have booked their place in the final of the DM Cup where they will face either Rafael Yorke’s Gefle IF or Arsunda later this month.
Elsewhere in Morocco, left back Emmanuel Imanishimwe continued his fine form for league leaders AS FAR Rabat as they beat RCA Zemamra 2-1 on Wednesday night to reach the quarter finals of the Throne Cup.
Imanishimwe was a delight to watch with his surging runs down the left flank which ensure his team picked the needed win.
