Allow me to express my dissatisfaction with one of our leading Banks – Ecobank.
I opened an account with the bank in February last year and I immediately applied, for an ATM card with in a period of two months.
After two months, I went back to the bank and the officials there told me that I should expect a call from the bank in the next few days to pick my card.
The bank charged me for the ATM card but to date they have never called me to pick it.
I have once visited the bank’s headquarters with a strong determination to find out why I cannot get the card and an official explained that the problem is with SIMTEL, a company that processes the ATM Cards for all the banks in the country.
Unfortunately, SIMTEL officials also say that the problem is with the Bank system not SIMTEL.
In this regard I would like to request Ecobank to come out and tell us exactly what is failing us from getting these cards because we need to know.
