Following their Paris debut, the Kinyatrap creators will take their music to Lille for Africa Fest on May 24, and then to Nyege Nyege Night in Paris the following day.

In an exclusive interview with The New Times, B-Threy expressed excitement about premiering their documentaries, "we're leaving Kigali well in advance to ensure thorough preparation, and we're thrilled to debut our documentaries at Theatre Chaillot.”

"Equally important is the Africa Festival, which has hosted major African artists like Odumodublvck and Korezen. It's a fantastic opportunity to bring our genre closer to the people of France and our fans across Europe."

When discussing potential additions to the tour calendar, he mentioned, "We're exploring options like Poland and Germany, but nothing is confirmed yet. If all goes well, we hope to further expand our reach and share Rwandan rap with audiences abroad, showcasing what we've created right here at home."

In addition to the Kinyatrap creators, Rwandan choreographer Dorothee Munyaneza will join a lineup of diverse African acts including reggae band Max'1 & the Rootsmaker, Poti One, Gianni Mangoma, Lizzy Grandt, Noella Raoelison, and more.

About Kinyatrap:

Emerging in 2017, Kinyatrap has surged to prominence within Rwanda's rap landscape. This unique subgenre blends the rhythmic cadence of trap music with the poetic storytelling traditions of kwivuga, an integral part of Rwandan culture.

Initially met with skepticism due to preconceived notions about rap culture, Kinyatrap has since gained widespread acceptance, even receiving support from unexpected corners such as within church circles. Bushali, B-Threy, Slum Drip, and Producer Dr. Nganji are widely recognized as the trailblazers of this genre.
