Veteran striker Jimmy Gatete was on target twice for Rayon Sport as the Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by home side Kibuye on Wednesday. The tie had been postponed in the first round after Rayon was involved in a motor accident on their way to Kibuye.

The second leg of the national football league gets underway this weekend with fixtures expected both at Nyamirambo and Mumena stadiums.

Defending champions Atraco plays way to relegation bound La Jeunesse at Mumena stadium while Rayon Sport entertains Police at Nyamirambo stadium.

Nine-time league winners APR face an away task against Amagaju in Nyamagabe, Southern Province.

Atraco and APR are tied at the summit with 24 points each while Rayon Sport is third with 20 points.

The second leg of the league which starts this Saturday is expected to come to a climax on June 28 according to the local football body, Ferwafa.

Eight stadiums including Amahoro, Nyamirambo, Mumena, Kicukiro, Umuganda, Gatwaro, Huye and Nyamagabe will host the second leg matches.
