Gicumbi Vs Mukura(3:30pm)
Mukura victory Sports will be looking for nothing less than a win when they visit Gicumbi FC today at Gicumbi Stadium and maximum points will take them to the top of Azam Rwanda Premier League table.
On Monday, Francis Christian Haringingo’s team beat Etincelles 2-1 to move into second place with 33 points, two behind APR.
"Gicumbi is another tricky game for us but one that we are focused on winning. I am happy the team is doing well, everyone is working hard to give 100 per cent in every game, they are ready to fight for one another other,” Haringingo said.
Forward Onesme Twizerimana scored twice in his side’s 2-1 win over Etincelles.
"We had a good performance against Etincelles and scored two goals but I’m sure we can do a lot better, and we’re looking forward to keep that spirit going,” he added.
However, Gicumbi coach Camalade Banamwana is plotting to thwart his next opponents. "We need to be solid at the back, try to score early and make sure we don’t gift them a chance.
"If we manage to defend well, it will be easy to get something off them,” he added.
This will be Mukura’s last of a couple of previously rescheduled games due to their previous involvement in continental football.
