The Ministry of Education is finalising the exam marking process for senior six students and is set to release the results by mid-February.
Isaac Munyakazi, the State Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, told The New Times on Tuesday that the ministry, through Rwanda Education Board (REB), intends to release the results of senior six exams by mid-February.
He said that more efforts were put in to ensure placement of senior one and senior four students who completed Primary and O’ Level exams to allow them start the school calendar with others, a process he said is almost complete.
"As per senior six we don’t make it a priority, this is a process which is done after we are done with placement (of primary and O’Level) by next week they will be done, so that we start the process of releasing A’Level results,” Munyakazi said
Unlike before when those who completed A’Level exams had to wait longer to get their certificates, the minister said candidates would be getting their certificates within three months thanks to the in-house publishing programmes.
Some 46,653 sat Advanced Level exams from over 380 examination centres in November last year, according to officials.
Science students wrote their practical exams from 243 centres.
