The Hoops Women Basketball club defeated IPRC-Huye 62-49 to claim first place in the ongoing Heroes tournament.
After the win, coach Eric Dusabimana told Times Sport that beating a big team like APR and IPRC-Huye gave them hope of winning the tourney.
"These results show that all things are possible, we can win this tournament. My players are confident to win the event.” Dusabimana said
In last game of Heroes tournament 2019 The Hoops will face Ubumwe while APR will meet former champion IPRC-Huye on Friday at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.
With the weekend's results, The Hoops have four points, APR and IPRC-Huye on 3pts while Ubumwe have two points.
