AFTER MONTHS of silence, Christopher Muneza (pictured) has surprised his fans with the release of a new single called, ‘Ko Wakonje’.
In the song, the 26-year-old R&B/Pop singer condemns the growing number of divorces caused by fake love among couples leading their relationship to collapse, while he suggests that true love should still be a weapon to stick with, to keep trust among themselves.
Explaining the inspiration behind the song, the singer told The New Times, "The community we live in has inspired me to produce this song. We are living in a society of growing divorce rates where people no longer care about love as soon as their relationship breaks. Since this is already becoming too much in our society, I wanted to remind people that love can still happen no matter what kind of relationship they have.”
The singer last released a single ‘Your Body’ in October last year and a collaboration ‘Like A Queen’ which he did with rapper Lil G. Muneza however, revealed that he was busy working on a number of music projects that he plans to release throughout this year.
"There is time that one considers a very important occasion to put things in order to better deliver lovely and well- finished products. I’ve been quite busy doing the same and I am now ready to move on and release as many projects that I have in store,” he said.
"This year I have plenty of pending music projects; singles and collaborations that I want to finalize before presenting them to my music fans.”
The audio of the song was produced by Bob Pro as he is looking to drop the video.
Christopher quit Kina Music Label, under Producer Clement Ishimwe back in 2016, after about seven years of its management.
For now, the singer hints that he is looking for a new label for his music management as one of his 2019 top priorities, as he looks to rediscover his career as one the most prominent and influential artistes in the country, if not in the region.
