Same week, YB foundation, an initiative dedicated to preserving the legacy of the late musician Yvan Buravan, announced Twaje Fest as attribute to the deceased artiste who is among the best vocalists and singers from Rwanda.

Mbonyi’s Brussels show moved to a bigger venue
Tickets sold out a month prior to Israel Mbonyi’s upcoming Brussels concert, prompting organisers to move the show to a bigger venue to accommodate more music lovers who want to turn up for another Mbonyi Live in Brussels experience.
The show, slated for June 8, was moved to Dome Events Hall from Birmingham Palace, a move that allowed VIP tickets to return on sale after they sold out for the previous venue.
Tickets for the show go for €50 for VIP seats and €30 for regular.
Mbonyi remains the only Rwandan gospel artist who has sold out some of the biggest venues in the country and abroad, with successful music tours.
The Ben to perform at the Colors of the East festival in DC
Rwandan Afrobeats and RNB star Benjamin Mugisha, popularly known as The Ben, was recently announced among the East African musicians to perform at the Colors of the East festival next month at the Capital One Arena, Washington DC.
This was confirmed by New York-based event production and promotion company, Duke Concept, which also announced other East African stars who will share the stage with the Rwandan singer.
The line-up for the one-day indoor festival slated for May 24, includes performances by Tanzanian bongo flava star Diamond Platnumz, Ethiopian hip-hop act Lij Mic, Congolese rapper Innoss’B and Kenyan R&B singer Otile Brown.

NEP DJs sign two-year deal with FERWABA
NEP DJs, a deejay duo made up of Berto and Habz, last week signed a two-year contract with the Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA), branding them the official disc spinners and entertainment coordinators of the federation for the next two seasons.
The DJ duo, who are also part of the NEP Family, a handful of sister companies all under the umbrella of RG Consult, signed the contract on Tuesday, April 23, at the FERWABA headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda.
According to the federation, NEP DJs are coming on board to create a more immersive and entertaining experience at basketball courts, coordinate entertainment activities for tournaments and promote music through the game.
YB foundation announces Twaje Fest
YB foundation, an initiative dedicated to preserving the legacy of the late musician Yvan Buravan, on Saturday, May 28, announced Twaje Fest as attribute to the deceased musician who is among the best to exist in Rwanda.
The New Times understands that the festival will be a celebration of Buravan’s life and his last album ‘Twaje’ which is named after the festival.
