The Government of Rwanda has joined Kenya to "strongly” condemn the terrorist attack that hit a hotel complex in Kenya’s capital Nairobi on Tuesday, which killed 14 people and injured many others.
"The Government of the Republic of Rwanda strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the Government and people of the Republic of Kenya at the DusitD2 Hotel, Westlands in Nairobi, which left many innocent people dead and others injured,” Dr. Richard Sezibera, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement.
The statement added: "Rwanda extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, those injured in the attack, and stands united with them as well as the Government of the Republic of Kenya during this time of grief.”
Rwanda pledged its support towards Kenya, saying that it will continue to stand firmly with the country in its fight against terrorism.
