It is very disappointing when one relies on commercial banks like our Ecobank for loan services.

A month back, I applied for a loan in the bank to acquire a certain asset urgently.

Having produced all the loan requirements, the bank officials promised that it would take me a week to receive the loan.

Four weeks down the road, what officials can say is that "the Director General has not signed yet.”

This is not the right way our commercial banks should be operating. As a matter of fact I was left wondering how many times the DG visits Ecobank Rwanda!

It is also unfortunate that I might soon lose out on this asset. Services should be rendered to suit customers’ needs.

If at all it turns out to be impossible, then the customer (as king) should be informed immediately.
